Enable MFA for Oracle Identity Cloud service User in OCI

Enabling MFA adds an extra layer of security to your OCI account by requiring you to provide a unique code in addition to your password when logging in. This helps to protect against un-authorized access to your resources and data.
In this post I am sharing how to enable MFA for the Oracle Cloud Identity Cloud Service User.

Steps:

1) Login to Cloud Account and Select Service User Console.

2)  Select Oracle Cloud Identity Service Admin

3) It will redirect to below page

4) Go to Security -> MFA at left side panel, check the box

Make sure below are enabled and Save based on screen shot.

5) Go to Security -> Sign-On Policies, edit the Default Policy

6) Go to My Profile section and enable the Security for 2 factor Authentication. You can use oracle authenticator  or Third Party Authenticator from Play Store in OCI. I have used Google Authenticator . After Successful authentication it will show the details.

7) Now lets try to login and it successfully ask for the Mobile App Verification. Enter code from Google Authenticator App.

I was able to login successfully.
